Revenues and profits of legal entities

Annual reports provide a comprehensive overview of the performance of legal entities operating in Estonia in a given year.

Revenue refers to the income obtained from the main activities of the company, such as the sale of goods or services.
The revenues of legal entities listed below are based on annual reports submitted.

Compelling facts are revealed when comparing results of different years. The number of legal entities with high revenues has steadily increased in recent years - while in 2017 there was only 1 company with a revenue exceeding 500 million euros in Estonia, by 2022 there were already more than ten.
Legal entities with no revenue, however, have consistently remained the largest segment year after year.
In addition to revenue, legal entities also disclose their profits/losses in their annual profit and loss statements.
If a legal entity's income exceeds its expenses, the company is profitable. If expenses exceed income, the result is a loss.
Below are the numbers of profit and loss-making companies for each financial year.
